DIALECT COACH FOR STAGE & SCREEN
As a voice and dialect coach for stage & screen, I seek to serve the needs of the production by coaching actors to integrate vocal choices and dialects. As part of my process, I research the region and dialect of the select characters and work with the director to establish an overall sound and feel for the production. On set and in the rehearsal room, I am actively engaged in coaching actors with the dialect while being sensitive to the needs of the actor, the director, and the production.
As a stage voice and dialect coach, I have coached at New Stage Theatre, Tecumseh Outdoor Drama, The Gainesville Theatre Alliance, and the University of Mississippi. I have also coached numerous private clients seeking to sound more American or less regional.
As a voice and dialect coach for the screen, I have coached the feature docu-drama The Past Is Never Dead: The Story of William Faulkner, which starred Eric Roberts as William Faulkner.
